It's made of two parts which can move relative to each other.
Doesn't seem to do much else.
AP: I left the power supply at home so obviously it would discharge finally.
AP: But if it was outside, why did the sun not make it work again?
TLF: The top side was backward to the sun maybe.
This needs to be taken home for further investigation.
